Beach Haven West is a small census-designated place in Ocean County, New Jersey. It is not a municipality and is located within Stafford Township. It is an unincorporated community. At the census held in 2010, the population of the CDP was 3896. The history of the town dates back to the mid 19th century. The area that is now Beach Haven West was previously known as Remson Meadows. It was along the Manahawkin Bayfront. In the year 1950, vacations home were developed throughout the Jersey shore by two brothers Herber and Jerome. The town was built in stages, but the first opening happened in 1957. By the 1970s, the lagoon-front community was developed down Mill Creek Road towards East Point. The Shapiros brothers later sold their unused properties to Lincoln Properties, LLC, another shore construction firm. They completed the developments in the town later by 1986. Now the town is a reasonably developed and great place to live. The area of the town of Beach Haven West is 2.14 square miles. The town's name is a little misleading, which indicates that it might be in the west of Beach Haven, a borough in New Jersey. However, actually, it is north of it. It can be considered that "west" was chosen because the mainland is west of Long Beach Island, where Beach Haven is located.
