Summit is a village in Wisconsin, United States. Initially, it was a part of Milwaukee County and was settled in the early 18th century by Andrew Baxter. By 1840, the town became home to 335 people and later developments started in the region. A church was constructed in the village in 1843. A town hall was built in 1906. Summit was incorporated as a village in 2010, and now it is a part of Waukesha County, Wisconsin. According to the census of 2010, the population of the village was 4676, and the area of Summit is 28.5 square miles. Approximately 1400 families were living in the village in 2000, and the count has increased in the past few years. The town has a very rural feel, and the majority of the people in the village live in their own homes. This suburb of Milwaukee is a greatly diverse and peaceful place.
