Sending Flowers to Bonner Spring, KS
Bonner Springs is located in Wyandotte, Leavenworth, and Johnson counties. It is part of the Kansas City Metropolitan Area. The city was incorporated in 1898 as a city, and it is home to the Azura Amphitheater, also known as Sandstone Amphitheater. Other attractions in the city include the National Agricultural Center and Hall of Fame, the annual Kansas City Renaissance Festival, and the Wyandotte County Historical Museum. The people of Kanza decided to settle in the area due to the presence of abundant fish, mineral springs, and game. The location made it easy for residents to trade their goods and ferry them across the Kansas River. It is regarded as the first permanent settlement and commercial center. The ferry services in the town were also taken over by a Delaware Indian who served as an interpreter to the Kansas Government. His place of abode was a small cabin outside the city, The city was later known as the Tiblow Settlement, and the ferry service continued for a long time. John McDaniel who was also known as Red John because of his hair color was regarded as the founder of Bonner Springs, and he was also the owner of the majority of the land areas that makes up the community.
Most of the springs in the town have been analyzed and found to contain mineral content which has been one of the major attractions for tourists seeking to visit the area. An association, the Bonners Springs Improvement Club, made a brochure to promote the city and show the tourist attractions in the city, such as the five springs close to the Lake of Woods, namely Little Chief, Old Squaw, Papoose, and Big Chief. The minerals are listed in grains per gallon and are potassium sulfate, chloride of sodium, and carbonate of iron, The city is the home of the Azura Amphitheater which was first opened in 1984 with its previous name, the Sandstone Amphitheater, the venue can accommodate more than 18,000 guests and has more than 3,000 box and reserved seats. The venue has undergone renovations, bringing about an improved layout for seating and modern state-of-the-art sound and video systems.
