Mount Pleasant is a borough located in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. It is 45 miles from Pittsburgh, and it has a population of 5,000 residents. The town was designated as a borough in 1828.

But the lives of the coal miners in the outskirts of the town were bad, and it led to a dispute between the workers and the management of the company.
