East Atlantic Beach is a hamlet located in Nassau County, New York. It is an unincorporated hamlet, and for statistical reasons, it is considered a census-designated place. It is governed by the Town of Hempstead, one of three towns in the county. The area's population was 2,049 as of 2010. Living in East Atlantic Beach offers residents a sparse suburban feel, and 79% of the residents own their homes. According to the Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 0.7 square miles.
