Plymouth is a city in Wisconsin with a population of 8,932. It lies along the banks of the Mullet River in Sheboygan County. Some part of the land of the city was sold to John Law. The other part of the land was then sold to Thomas Margrave in 1836. Later, other people joined in and the community got built. The town was named after Plymouth, Massachusetts.

The area was surveyed by United States engineers in 1835 one of whom was named Mullet and he lent his name to the river. The city is often called "Hub City" due to its central location in the county. However, the moniker has an earlier origin because the community had a wagon shop where spokes and hubs were made.

The city is served by the Plymouth Joint School District, which has three elementary schools, one middle school, and a high school.
